About Us

Bandar Utama Buddhist Society (BUBS) began in 1999 as an idea to create a space for Buddhist practice in the growing Bandar Utama area. It was officially registered in 2000. With strong support from the community, BUBS built its home, Uttama Bodhi Vihara — a peaceful and modern place for meditation, Dhamma talks, retreats and family activities. Today, it’s a well-known Buddhist centre in the Klang Valley.

BUBS building

Guided by the Theravāda tradition, we focus on spreading the Buddha’s teachings through learning, practice and community support. BUBS is open to everyone — young and old — who wishes to grow spiritually and live with kindness and mindfulness. More than just a place, BUBS is a warm and welcoming community where people support each other, make friends and walk the path of Dhamma together.
